A little bit of Lavender Love…

Wow it sure is raining cats and cats and dogs out there today!! Now for those of you wondering where our summer has its gone….I can’t tell you the answer sorry I have been looking for it it all week and I still can’t find it…i did however find some beautiful lavender inspired weddings whilst spending hours perusing Pinterest (damn that site is addictive!!) anyway so for today’s post I’m sharing a little bit of my love for lavender….

Lavender is  a beautiful flower which has been used widely for centuries for its healing and therapeutic properties and smells awesome. It can help you chill out, sleep better and it’s essential oils can be used as a natural alternative for an antiseptic, and has antispasmodic and antibacterial properties too. It can help ease tension, muscle aches and cramps and can also help  soothe a teething and fretful toddler (I speak from personal experience here!!)

So why not take inspiration from this super flower and include it in your wedding theme. The colour of lavender is so pretty and is said to invoke feelings of romance and nostalgia and mean purity and devotion…perfect for a wedding!!
